With Henrike Koch, its all about Shipping: After her  graduation (Abitur) she successfully completed an apprenticeship as a shipping merchant in Bremen. Thereafter Henrike Koch studied law, focusing on especially economics and business competition with stages in Hamburg and Copenhagen. Initially she worked as an academic research assistant, after that as a project leader with the Institue of Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL) and assistance to the management of the “Deutsche GVZ-Gesellschaft”, which is the umbrella organisation of German freight centres.

Furthermore, Henrike Koch was lecturing in the department of law at University Bremen and Hochschule Bremen, as well as the course Shipping and Chartering at the German Academy for Foreign Business. At Hochschule Ostfalia, Sazgitter she was lecturer for Freight Traffic Systems.

From July 2012 to June 2015 Henrike Koch was Legal Counsel of Rickmers-Group. She was one of two founding partners of KOCH DUKEN PARTNER, now KDB.legal Koch Boës.
